First grandchild on the way

To think I haven't met you yet
And I already adore you
I haven't held you in my arms
but I'm already in awe of you.
Your mother sent the sonogram
My heart was touched by the outline
Your tiny body, curled and calm
That has me humming lullabies
Made me remember of the day
Your mom arrived, like yesterday!
And I just follow your outline
Your head, the legs, and tiny arms
And think of hugs, soft blanket's creases
Warming your body, while you are sleeping
And baby scent, and toys and kisses
Already loving you to pieces!

To The Bride

I would like to share with you the poem I wrote for my daughter's wedding day. I would love to hear your opinion .

To The Bride

Dear daughter of mine
You’ll be getting married soon.
Wasn’t it the other day
When we’d play and watch cartoons
Held your little hands in mine
And I sang a lullaby?

And when time for bed arrived
And we’d pray and say goodnight
Used to hug me, real tight
Wouldn’t want to say goodbye.

You were playful and so cute
With that lively voice, so you
Bringing toys and things you’d choose
Saying: Mommy, that’s for you.

Now a woman, a young bride
So grown up, in love, oh my!
Time does really pass us by.
And the wedding day arrived
A good man is by your side.
I’m so happy when you smile
And I see the gaze of love;
Mom’s so happy for you both!

Diana and Jim's wedding

Back to business!

Hello!! Diana and Jim came over with their new pet, Desi , this afternoon. He is adorable and was very friendly. He was checking out the house and had about three short naps.
Jim was so kind to help me organize my blog, which I have not used in such a long time, due to the fact that, frankly, I have a lot to learn about the internet and sometimes it is difficult for me to post my poems. The accents in Spanish are difficult to type on this computer and I get frustrated with my spelling too! So, forgive me if from time to time you may find mistakes. I really miss writing. It is so good for the soul. I have decided that I will post more often! So I am back! Love to all!
